Compressed charcoal is produced in two common types: Hexagonal Briquette and Square Briquette. Both types are made from sawdust and natural wood waste under high pressure and contain no chemical additives. The hexagonal briquette, due to the hole in the center of its pieces, allows better airflow and generates uniform heat, while the square briquette, due to its higher density, burns longer and produces stronger heat. These two models are used differently depending on the purpose (hookah, restaurant, or home use).
Advantages
- High durability and long burning time (3 to 5 hours depending on the type)
- Smokeless and odorless
- Very low sparks – suitable for indoor environments
- Uniform shape (hexagonal or square) and easy packaging
- Economical and cost-effective compared to traditional charcoal
Uses
- Cafés and tea houses (hexagonal briquette is more suitable for hookah)
- Restaurants and barbecue places (square briquette is better for long cooking)
- Home use and gatherings
